6.1.    "MILL" PONOR  -  PONOR "MLINICA"  -  ПОНОР "МЛИНИЦА"
The opening of this ponor is located at an elevation of 1020m. asl. This ponor has a low recharge (absorption) capacity.  As is indicated elsewhere in Section 2. of the Slato Polje Webpages, this ponor has been proven to directly feed Vrelo "Brusac" and Vrelo "Jama" in Nevesinjsko Polje.
We cannot find any evidence of a former ponor-mill structure associated with this location.

The surface geomorphology of the ponor is simple and comprises a very short length of "blind valley" surrounded by very high vertical limestone cliffs, at the base of which on the eastern side is the low wide entrance of the ponor cave. The entrance is located on structural geological fractures.

Incredibly, the photograph above shows that even this isolated location within an almost unpopulated area of Eastern Herzegovina, is a centre for the disposal of rubbish. It really must take a great effort to take any rubbish here and to purposely dump it, rather than burning it at its point of origin! At the time of our initial locational-reconaissance in September 2006., we did not have the time to investigate the interior of the ponor cave.
